Welcome!
As someone who has lived through the murder of a loved one, I personally share in the experience of
being affected by a traumatic experience. While facing the challenge of how to live with the murder of
my father on Sept 11th, 2001, I not only found myself figuring out how to survive and endure
through that experience, but also felt called to find a way to transcend that tragedy and reclaim my
life. At some point through my process of healing, I realized that it was even possible to find a way to
come through the other side of my healing journey more resilient and stronger than I was before.

I feel fortunate that at the time of my Father's murder, I was also at a place in my life of studying, and
using on myself, tools of personal transformation. These tools and self reflective ways of approaching
human life are at the foundation and core of the discipline of Life Coaching.

I am pleased to now offer my professional experience as a Life Coach coupled with my personal
experience of transcending and transforming trauma to others through this Life Coaching service.

Who is this Life Coaching for?  Does it fit for you?
This Life Coaching service is for people who not only want to be considered a survivor of their
personal tragedy, but wish to find their way to becoming a VICTOR over that experience.

Trauma Transformation Coaching is for you if you:
- Have experienced a life changing traumatic event
- Recognize that life will never be the same after that event
- Have had your whole view of life change since that event - possibly for the better
- Possibly have a new appreciation of life since that tragedy recognizing how precious and uncertain
life is
- Have somewhat returned to living your "normal" life but realize things have changed as you have
changed and feel the desire or need to change the direction of your life
- Realize you are not willing to settle for "normal" living anymore and want to live life more fully
- Are ready to empower your life and start building a new inspiring foundation for a purposeful
present and fulfilling future.

I work with people who may have been affected by:
A personal trauma: a murder or violent crime involving a family member or someone close, a natural
disaster, having someone close to you involved in a life threatening incident, being a victim of personal
robbery or vandalism

A societal or community trauma: murder, war and terrorism, anyone impacted by 9/11, a natural
disaster, hate crimes, community violence, vandalism, theft

How do you know if you are ready to take this step?
* Are you able to deal with normal daily functions in life?

* Have you had support in your life, whether with family, friends, or professionally, that helped you grieve and
heal from this tragedy in a way that was healthy and supportive for you?

* Do you feel you are leading a somewhat normal life now that time has passed since your traumatic event, but
feel something is missing in your life or feel you are simply not happy with the direction of your life since the
incident?

* Are you ready to step into your personal power for the sake of your life and the people around you?

* Are you willing to find yourself in a better place in your life than you were before you were traumatized by
this tragedy?

* Are you ready to take on your life and overcome the same old road blocks that have always been in your
way?

* Are you ready to shine like a diamond and discover how resilient you are no matter what circumstance may
happen in your life?

If you answered YES, to most or all of these, then you may be ready to take the next step forward!

**Please be aware that Life Coaching is not a substitute for Counseling or Psychotherapy**

Life Coaching is not counseling or psychotherapy and is not a substitute for these clinical practices.
During the initial meeting or within the "discovery session" of a life coaching relationship, both the
coach and client explore together whether the client feels they are functioning at a level that would
warrant life coaching or not.

The possibility of working together in a life coaching relationship is determined through a co-creative
process of coach and client working as a team to make that decision.  This kind of approach is a
defining difference between the prescriptive, hierarchical process of therapy and the collaborative,
co-active process of life coaching.

It should be acknowledged that there are some similarities and overlap between the structure of
coaching and therapy. For example, both disciplines use some of the same tools, yet the desired
outcome is often very different.  It is also important to continue to distinguish the ways in which
coaching is different from therapy and provide some insight below.
